If they are going through difficult times, they will turn to you to be their provider of wisdom. Though if they see you break under pressure then it will create a sense of skepticism in the eyes of your students seeing their success coach breaking under intense pressure.
Students Are Like Your Children
Keep in mind that that your students came to you looking for guidance because you know better than they do. Parents understand that it is up to them to put their children down the right path by showing them anything they need to know that will make them successful in the near future.
Being a coach is no different than being parent. For example, Brodie understands that behind every student that comes him, there is a sense of vulnerability and a seeking of guidance from every one of them. If they weren’t seeking guidance and weren’t feeling vulnerable, then perhaps they wouldn’t have come to him in the first place.

Though this may sound contradicting, being a coach does not mean focus %100 of your time to helping your students grow. Even though you are the coach, a person should never stop growing and bettering their craft. There is always room for improvement.
Some individuals get a little carried away with themselves and simply because they’re coaches they minimize the amount of effort that goes into their growth.
There is no doubt that by hiring a coach, one will dramatically see a change in their productivity simply because there’s another individual holding them accountable for their actions. If there is a lack of process, then certainly a coach will be sure to let their student know.
