Born in the heart of St. Missouri, this child prodigy had found his calling at the age of 10. When gloomy nights began to prowl, he made music his moonlight. It was music that gradually turned out to be a sort of Harry Potter’s magic wand for him. Just a single wave of this magic wand in the air opened doors of an exotic fortune.
Darris was quite young when he would wake up all night to compose his music and share his creations with friends. However, the financial crisis miscued him, forcing him to drop out of the university and take up the business of music marketing.
At just 19, he began to promote his music online. His innovative strategies worked for him and got him heaps of fans. His rise as a musician caught the attention of other aspiring artists in the town who persuaded him to promote their music as well. Few more successes ahead, Darris had now realized his destiny.
In the year 2013, Darris founded Mic Check Global. The vision of the company is to help bring the voice of the artists to the world through advance platforms such as social media. The company boosts social media presence of artists and organizations so that they can convert their fame into sales.
Following the massive success of the company, Darris started Mic Check Global Films in the year 2015. The company makes visual content for brand promotion.
Darris met Kial McClendon in 2016. They bonded over the same passion and decided to bring a new dimension to their world of dreams. McClendon is the Mic Check Sales Representative Manager. He, under the tutelage of Darris, has helped many dreams find their true destination.
Mic Check Global has recently been exploring other avenues of the business. The company is expanding its horizons like never before to discover new talents around the world and help them reach out to their right audience.
In 2018, Mic Check Global opened its first international office in Cebu, Philippines. Darris sees vast potential in South Asia. This new venture in the continent meant an overall new setup, getting a new team on-board, and launching new events. Efforts of the company have earned it a reputation among artists of South Asia and also around the globe. Darris has always given back a lot to the local communities, after all, he also had a humble beginning.
Darris and his team are also providing educational support for underprivileged children in Cebu. Mic Check Global is just like a wish-fairy for aspiring artists with thousands of glittering dreams in their eyes. The company has many more fortune boxes to open to this young generation of talented artists.
