United States COVID-19 cases burst over the recent weeks as the weather became colder. Medical experts have instructed the public to be cautious as the situation got inadequately handled.
After the 2020 U.S. Presidential Election, Americans have come to celebrate Biden’s presidency, not solely Americans but also people worldwide. However, despite encouraging news from vaccine trials, the next months are foreseen to be more challenging and complicated as coronavirus cases continue to put new patients in the country, as per U.S. infectious disease doctors said.
According to Dr. Anthony Fauci, the potential vaccines are expected to withstand by early December. But as COVID-19 continues to spread and the winter approaches in the Northern Hemisphere, the potential vaccines are likely to overdraw the timeline of distribution to states.
It was supported by epidemiologist Syra Madad, the senior director of the special system-wide pathogens at New York Health and Hospitals, and inclined to news of Pfizer and BioNTech’s vaccine indicating its more than 90% effective to prevent COVID-19. In contrast, she said that vaccines might take time to be available and effective in every state. And may take another long time to improve its effectiveness.
She also addresses promising news about potential vaccines are not the end of the real health crisis. It is just an initial statement. Furthermore, some aspects may encounter uneven results and will affect the timeline, she added.
Also, Madad gives assurance to the public implying pharmaceutical companies and manufacturers confirmed to release COVID-19 vaccines by the end of this year 2020, on top of groups such as healthcare workers.
As of now, the COVID-19 worldwide cases jumped to 50.9 million, with more than 1.1 million fatalities. Simultaneously, the U.S. has recorded 10.1 million cases, according to the database of Johns Hopkins University.
The race for vaccines is seen worldwide, as many states are dependent and assist the process by funding certain manufacturers.
