“You may not have come from a rich family, but a rich family has to come from you.” Those are the words of Elias Castro. Castro was born in El Salvador but came to the United States of America when he was just twelve years old in pursuit of the “American dream.” Since coming to the United States, Castro has become widely successful in his field of financial literacy.
Castro is for the people. He explained that one of his biggest inspirations, “Comes from seeing the lack of financial literacy in this country and seeing all those who struggle because of it. It is my mission to change that.” Castro works for a financial broker-dealer that does business with the top 200 major finance and insurance companies in the United States and Canada. The company has been around since 1906 with the goal for all its clients to become debt-free and financially independent. “There is a better way to live other than a nine to five job,” Castro said. He continued with, “You can become a business owner, create unlimited income, and live the life you always wanted by breaking generational cycles of poverty and learning financial literacy at any age.”
What has fueled Castro’s success is his ability to share a relationship with all his clients. Castro said “the ability to connect with my clients and provide the utmost customer service” is what separates him from the rest of his competition. It is all about building client trust: “You build your clients trust by being authentic and communicating clearly and openly. Also, by valuing their time and putting yourself in their shoes,” Castro said.
When asked what the next big move for his career is, Castro responded by saying, “You’ll have to stay tuned to find out.” Despite not giving away any specifics, Castro did explain that he sees himself growing and creating leaders while opening multiple agencies across the country to help and create opportunities for others. “The milestone I want to hit before I retire is to have created 1 million job opportunists and one million clients,” Castro said.
