The Transformation of a Lifetime
His love for fitness was not instant, in fact, he grew up as an overweight boy who got made fun of all the time. It wasn’t until the age 14, when Brian picked up Arnold Schwarzenegger’s book on bodybuilding. He was so intrigued by the book that he read it front and back and it was then when he began to train himself. Throughout his high school years, Nabavi transformed himself into a bodybuilder and completely changed his physique. His body transformation was so incredible that he gained a confidence like no other.
While Brian Nabavi’s transformation was physical, the transformation was so much more than that. It was a transformation of a lifetime because it sparked Nabavi’s career path. Nabavi became a personal fitness trainer at a 24 hour fitness gym and quickly discovered that the fitness industry was his niche. In one month alone, he made over 38k in sales through personal training. Brian was helping others reach their fitness goals and lose 100 to 130 pounds. He was changing lives and there was nothing more rewarding for him that than.
Chase the Passion, Not the Money
Despite the immediate success he had by being a personal training, Brian left passion in hopes to make more money. He made the decision to chase the money and resorted to what was and still is very profitable—real estate. Nabavi started working in real estate by selling mortgages. As a naturally talented salesman, Nabavi was making a lot of money within a couple months. While he was making a lot of money, he was also spending a lot of it.
With his expenses and the lack of passion for real estate, a lot came down hill for Brian. He struggled keeping up with finances and he lost everything. From his house to his cars, Nabavi knew that he had to get to back to his passion and find himself all over again—not just for himself, but for his family. Brian Nabavi went back to the gym and started from the bottom with membership sales. Within 6 months, he was promoted to Assistant Sales Manager and within a year he was a Sales General Manager. He was constantly managing people and training others how to turn leads into sales. Nabavi’s unique set of skills for sales and a hustler’s mindset enabled him to position himself higher than ever.
Time and Family is Everything
Although he was working hard to provide for his family, he had bigger goals for himself. Nabavi’s time and family were everything to him and the job he currently had was not allowing him to take part in that. His time and energy was spent at the gym and that led Nabavi to miss out on his wife and children. Brian spent a couple years thinking about a business that would bring his time and family together. He then came across the idea of a clothing company. While Nabavi had little to no knowledge on retail business, he spent countless hours each day teaching himself how to design clothes on photoshop and how to work with manufacturers overseas.
Brian Nabavi’s drive for chasing his goals and prioritizing what is most important to him led to the creation of one of the most successful athletic clothing brands. With only 300 dollars to his name at the time, Nabavi is the founder and CEO of the Til You Collapse clothing brand. The almost 5 year clothing company, has grown tremendously. From its website, marketing implementation and photography—every aspect of his company is reaching new heights.
