Being an entrepreneur all his life, Justin Townsend aka Big Smokey, has always been looking for ways to hit it big. Through different endeavors including the pursuit of a rap career, Justin began networking at a young age. He tried many different gigs and spent some time in retail. He went to college and got a degree in healthcare, which he never ended up using. Instead, he got involved in the cannabis industry.
After continuing to network and seeing a bit of success in cannabis, Justin was offered a position at California Finest, where he would become the VP of sales. Kicking off a career of event hosting, Justin traveled the US and attended festivals and trade shows as the face of the company. This allowed Justin to grow his market massively, and was eventually offered the opportunity to host events for High Times Magazine, where the crowds would reach over 30,000 people.
Justin would work main stages, hyping up massive crowds and working alongside major artists like 50 Cent, MGK, Wu-Tang, and more. He built positive relationships not only with these artists, but with other celebrities, business owners, and powerful entrepreneurs connected to the music industry.
Using an ever-expanding network he built in the industry, Justin went on to found Big Smokey Productions. Big Smokey Productions focuses on artist development and funding talent that otherwise could not grow the way they should. Using his connections, Justin is able to land major features for the artists he works with, as well as exposing them to major names in the industry.
In the future, Justin plans to expand Big Smokey Productions into new territory, working with content creation for social media and television.
