Paul Gerard Parker (@paulparker) may be young, but his success in eCommerce suggests he is an old soul. At just 22 years of age, this self-sufficient entrepreneur operates as the Chief Marketing Officer of Project Wifi, an eCommerce management company that manages over $19 million in assets and employs over 50 staff members.
Parker got his start in business in the real estate market during his freshman year at California State University, San Marcos. He created strategic marketing content for many of San Diego’s top luxury Real Estate agents and after two years, transitioned into social media marketing and founded his first company, Hue Digital LLC.
Parker always had a natural aptitude for marketing and found great success with his first company.
“Marketing has always been the core of my skills. I was always great at connecting and talking to people as well. I think that is why I was able to accelerate so quickly in whatever I did,” said Parker.
While working to grow his company, Parker met an entrepreneur named Andy Ta Kong. He decided to take his experience in social media marketing and use it to create his own eCommerce business. After dropshipping products through Shopify, Parker decided to team up with Ta Kong and began selling products on Amazon, realizing incredible success.
“With Shopify, you had to source products, build a website/brand, and generate traffic through paid advertising. On Amazon.com, we didn’t have to do any of that. The audience, traffic, and brand trust were already there,” said Parker. “All we had to do was tap into the data and sell products that were popular. Once we realized that, we went full force and started selling over $150K per month.”
Ta Kong introduced Parker to fellow entrepreneurs Marcello Cantu and Mohammed Shakaoat and the four founded Project Wifi, which helps Amazon business owners free up their schedules in return for a share of their business.
The eCommerce management company now helps manage over 55 Amazon stores, each earning between $35,000 – $115,000 per month, but Parker never allows himself to become complacent. He is constantly looking for ways to improve the company. He does so by setting goals and chasing them every day.
“I want to take what every other agency is doing and make it 100 times better,” he said.
As Chief Marketing Officer, Parker uses his years of experience in social media marketing to oversee the development, execution, and communication of their marketing and branding.
Parker has a keen interest in doing whatever he can to make sure that the user experience of Project Wifi is as good as possible, as he believes providing an excellent user experience will lead to increased profits and returning customers.
As any business person does, Parker has experienced a great deal of adversity. When times get tough he stays driven through the burning desire to create a long-lasting legacy. He wants to be known as someone who pushed online business further than previously thought possible, continuously striving to create, improve, and inspire. To learn more about Parker and the financial prosperity he has created, follow him @paulparker.
