“My husband John lived by a code: country first. We are Republicans, yes, but Americans foremost. There’s only one candidate in this race who stands up for our values as a nation, and that is @JoeBiden.”
Cindy McCain tweeted
Cindy McCain, the widow of late Republican Senator John McCain, expressed her support to presidential candidate Joe Biden in his campaign against President Donald Trump. She described her late husband’s loyal friend as a man of “character and integrity” while expressing her perturbation with Trump.
In a news report, Biden replied to her tweet, saying, “I’m deeply honored to have your support and your friendship. This election is bigger than any one political party. It requires all of us to come together as one America to restore the soul of the nation. Together, we’ll get it done.”

Biden reported Tuesday that McCain chose to support him after President Trump’s supposed comments about U.S. administration individuals announced by The Atlantic. He shared, it is the first time that McCain is endorsing him because of what Trump talks about with his son and John’s, who are heroes who served their country. He exclaimed, “you know he said they’re losers, they’re suckers.”
A month ago, McCain had a video speech at the Democratic show. She said later on in a phone interview that she had been questioned about how public a job she would play in the current year’s campaign. Yet, in the wake of perusing reports this month that depicted Mr. Trump stigmatizing individuals from the military, she stated, she turned out to be “increasingly disappointed” with the president.
Jack and James are McCain’s two children who served in the military, while Biden’s child, Beau, served in the National Guard. Beau Biden died in 2015 because of brain cancer. These men’s dignity was stepped on by Trump’s criticism of U.S. servicemen, referring to American war dead as “losers.” According to a magazine, he asked veterans exclusion from military parades, which he later denied.
“The most important thing that moved me a great deal was talking about troops being losers. You know we have children in the military, as did the Bidens… I want my president to have my back, and I don’t believe that’s the case right now.”
