Reilly Burrus who previously served as a Company Commander and is now an online fitness coach for Built Athletics discusses her recipe to achieving success in her journey.
job, and even finally falling in love with her soulmate.
Thirty-two years-old Reilly Burrus has been in the USCG for fourteen years. As she had joined when she was just 17, she had to learn how to manage life’s struggles all by herself. She knew since the beginning of her career, that she wanted to be a Company Commander (Drill Instructor). Reilly had been constantly self-destructive for the past few years, where not getting into her dream career caused her to drink and adopt an unhealthy and sedentary lifestyle. She thought settling down was the only option since she wasn’t getting anywhere in the job department, but alas, no success there as well.
All this changed when Reilly made the conscious effort to bring an end to her suffering. She got so fit and healthy, that she even came second in her first bikini competition. Eventually, she even got selected as a Company Commander and the pieces slowly started to fit in place for her.
Currently, Reilly does online coaching for Built Athletics and helps individuals achieve their body transformation goals. Her empathy for her clients has won their trust for her, as Reilly very well knows what it’s like to have gone through overwhelming times and still been able to find the light at the end of the tunnel.
“To be a coach that understands how hard it is, that is how I have my success. My clients have a trust for me that not a lot of other clients and coaches have for each other. My transformation took about 5 years, so I know when my clients are overwhelmed and need motivation,” says Reilly.
