Ryan Kearns is a successful entrepreneur who took the leap of faith to take over his family business Fly Low Inc and learn everything he needed to do so. Ryan acknowledges that it is hard for any aspiring entrepreneur to leave the comforts of a 9-5 job and a W-2 to jump into the unknown world of entrepreneurship. Some of the best advice Ryan could give is to have a mentor in the industry who is older than you and has been in the business for many years so that they can help you avoid some of the mistakes they made and help guide you through the journey.
Ryan feels so blessed to have had the best mentors guiding him through the way and teaching him the right way to do business. His first mentor was his father who he had a strong bond with from a young age. Ryan Kearns’ father told him at the age of four years old that he was going to take over the business one day. Many kids would forget about something like this, but Ryan held on to this and learned from his father every day and aspired one day to carry on the family business for future generations.
Ryan is now the CEO of Fly Low Inc and works everyday towards becoming a better person, helping other entrepreneurs, and giving back to charity. Fly Low Inc is a very profitable company that donates 10% of its profits to noble causes like cleaning up pollution, mental health, drug addiction, and homelessness. Fly Low Inc specializes in customer acquisition and brand recognition for local businesses throughout the United States.
Ryan Kearns describes one of the biggest challenges when starting a business as making the decision to do so. There will never be a perfect time, so start now! You will never truly know the capabilities of your own success until you push yourself out of your comfort zone to reach your goals. His best advice is to not procrastinate, try not to overthink the small details, and make progress every day towards your goals. Every entrepreneur will face challenges, obstacles, and failures when starting out but it is how they handle those challenges that will determine the trajectory of their business.
Ryan is a firm believer that mindset is everything. Assume to dominate your area of expertise and you will dominate. Ryan Kearns differentiates himself from the competition by spending time learning from his competition and seeing what can be done better in the industry. One of the biggest obstacles Ryan has overcome so far is defeating his fear of the dark and heights.
