Two university graduates, both outdoorsmen can, more than like anybody else understand the importance of perfectlyalong with doing time management with the other hand. Carson White and Musa Sulejmani, founders of the ‘Volume’ app have created an app which will become a necessity for every party freak in no time from today. Carson White is a graduate of Indiana tech in software engineering who has special fingers with developing apps and neural networks. Being called a Quadruple threat, he is also a DJ, a model and of course, founder of the ‘Volume’ app. Musa Sulejmani, a University of Illinois graduate is all from and about business. Coming from a business background and himself starting his own business venture (Volume), he also has himself into playing drums, making music, throw parties and socialize with people.
The history of coming up with an idea for their app is nothing exceptional when Musa, being a party organizer and time conscious realized that its literally hours that are being wasted upon planning a single outing with friends and this problem is generally analogous for everybody who goes out with friends. The major issue was the lack of a platform where people can actually plan a party and things can turn out to be really smooth and less time to consume for them. People have to go up to many different apps to search for a venue, look up for the events going on there, look for the menu of the place and so on and even after doing this much, they’d slip on some or the other happening event and would get to hear, ‘Oh! You should’ve been there’ in the end. This led to the development of an app which shows its users all the party places nearby along with some real-time check on the crowd, waiting time, friends at the location and so on. Basically, it’s a perfect virtual event planning platform.
The initial humps in the business were inevitable like getting users and collaborating with local businesses. After the hurdle was overcome, the beta version of the app was launched at the University of Illinois and it received an overwhelming response from there and went viral overnight.
Believing Google as their competitors, the founders say “Many have attempted and many have failed. One (competitor) that I’m proud to say is Google. Google offers you historic (and sometimes re
al-time) visit info about some places on Google Maps. [Musa] sees it when searching for a pizza joint and every time he thinks to himself “Cool. What action can I take with this information?” There’s nothing on Google that allows me to take action on that information.” Stressing upon this, the apps differs from others as it not only provides information to its users but also enables them to take action with that information. Musa and white put their user’s experience first.
Currently operating in 85+ cities in the U.S, the app is planned to launch in other big cities around the U.S and eventually internationally by the year 2018.
