Like many other entrepreneurs, Anthony has been involved in different other businesses before seemingly finding the Holy Grail in marketing after the launch of Neighbourhood Creative with his partner, Ernesto Gaita. Anthony’s first experience in the business environment was in high school, reselling tickets to major festivals across Toronto. He also founded “Four Kings Group,” a promotion company that focused on nightlife activities.
Anthony’s rise to prominence as an entrepreneur did not come easy, facing several obstacles as he pursued his dream. “I faced many obstacles getting to where I am now. The transition from nightlife promoter to agency owner was very tough. A lot of people look at “promoters” as a grubby job so making the transition to more of a “professional” title was very interesting especially at the company’s inception. I had to offer free work or extremely discounted work to gain client trust at the beginning. Aside from that my partner and I did not pay ourselves for the majority of our first year so that we could keep up with rent for our office and continuously build our team,” said Anthony Sorella.
“I overcame these obstacles by putting in very long hours, day in and day out. Till this day, I’m still working 14 hours days minimum (weekend included),” Anthony continued.
