Divorce and the break up of families can leave a lot of people in a difficult situation. On top of the emotional trauma it can bring to people, it often comes with financial problems for people on one end of the family. This was the case for Matthew Ferrarini and his mother after a divorce left them struggling to make ends meet. His business of luxury kitchen and bath design was started out of needing to help pay the bills.
To top this all off, Matthew started off his business in 2008 at the height of the recession. This was a huge obstacle for him to overcome when starting off his business. He and his mom began working out of the back of their car as handymen just to try and keep things going. Their hard work and perseverance has paid off.
Matthew is incredibly young and has been extremely successful in the design business despite his rocky start. For those wishing to start their own business, Matthew shares his secret, which is to look at the market and find something that is missing and will create value for people that they do not already have. This can be hard to do in the market nowadays, but it is the best way to find success.
Though Matthew has been an incredibly successful entrepreneur and designer, he would not have gotten far without his mom, who he credits with a lot of his inspiration to get involved in this business. Many of us learn and take on interests from our parents at a young age. Matthew is exactly the same. His mother’s background in the interior design industry helped him and inspired him when crafting his own business.
Matthew is excited for the year to come. Though 2020 has put a stop on most things due the current pandemic, Matthew says that 2021 will be a big year for his company, and he is excited to do some more luxury kitchen renovations in the future.
