Trixie Isla-Velez has had a tremendous career as a trainer thus far. In just over a decade, she’s transformed her career from being a trainer at someone else’s studio to owning her own studio, Defin8 Fitness, being a Nike Trainer, Nosh Ambassador and MyProtein partner, and has quickly become one of the most sought after trainers in all of Hong Kong. On top of her tremendous accomplishments in the fitness space, she’s a proud fitness mom and prides herself on living a well rounded life away from her studio.
Trixie’s journey has been remarkable up to this point, as she left a very comfortable role at a studio to start her own brand and studio. She rented out spaces to host classes for a stretch of time, and eventually was able to open her very own studio. Her people have followed her every step of the way, as her energetic, uplifting, fun style of training has been a hit with her clients ever since she started training. Now that she has a permanent location, her client base has grown consistently as word has gotten out about her classes.
With how far she’s come in her career, she wishes someone told her to take a breather, look around, and appreciate how far she’s come. Trixie has always had an immaculate work ethic, and she is just now appreciating the importance of taking a step back and really absorbing her accomplishments. Doing this has brought her a new sense of purpose, revitalized her, and has allowed her to focus on the new goals she has set for herself.
Since becoming successful, Trixie has surrounded herself with positive, goal oriented people. These people have had the same uplifting vibes as Trixie, and have all been there to motivate her and cheer her on every step of the way.
Trixie knows that she hasn’t been able to progress on this journey alone, and gives a lot of credit to her husband for guiding her and supporting her along the way. He’s always been there to give her advice and cheer her up, and she’s extremely appreciative of him and her entire family. Ironically enough, she’s also very grateful for her former bosses, as they’ve allowed her to realize her true potential and push her past her comfort zone when she decided to leave her old studio.
