Misael Guerrero has taken his humble beginnings and turned it into an impressive, massively successful restaurant franchise. Creating a vehicle of success from almost nothing, Misael has built a brand from his hard work, dedication, and instinct.
Misael got his first exposure to food growing up in his home state of Sinaloa, Mexico. There, he spent much of his childhood working in his parents’ restaurants and grocery stores. When Misael moved to California 12 years ago, he brought his love for food with him, building his first small businesses by selling food that would bring the flavor of his home to the United States.
Misael had his first major breakthrough after coming to the conclusion that one of the biggest delicacies of Sinaloa, Mexican-style sushi, wasn’t available in California. So, taking advantage of this opportunity, he decided to take it upon himself to bring this dish to California. Misael turned his garage into a Mexican sushi house, and people took immediate interest in the endeavor. Misael’s sushi quickly grew in popularity, and before long Misael went on to rent out his first restaurant, officially founding the first CulichiTown in Rialto, California.
Since the sushi garage days, the restaurant has grown increasingly successful. Putting a great emphasis on keeping the experience authentic, CulichiTown imports ingredients directly from Sinaloa to deliver “100% Culichi” taste. Misael also has intensive training for his staff to ensure everything is done in the Sinaloan way.
The CulichiTown franchise has since expanded to 15 different locations across North America, with even more being planned for the future. From small beginnings to something truly incredible, CulichiTown offers a unique experience that will continue to impress in the coming years.
