Why did you decide to become an entrepreneur?
Because I couldn’t work for anyone else

How did you come up with the idea for your podcast?
Just over a year ago someone asked me to come on their podcast show. I asked what the heck is a podcast? They said it was like a radio show only online. I thought “wow that sounds cool” so I agreed. I loved every minute of being in front of the mic. In fact I became addicted to it! I decided that I need to start my own podcast show … Can I Pick Your Brain? was born. To date I have interviewed some of the most influential people including: The smartest man alive, The leading FBI hostage negotiator, Millionaires, Billionaires, Marketing Legends and other iconic figures.
As my podcast became more successful I started getting requests on a daily basis from people wanting to come on my show. I realised that people wanted to get on podcasts so they can get massive exposure for their brand. So I launched GetFeatured.com along with my fellow top rated podcast host Jeremy Ryan Slate.
What’s awesome about your podcast?
We are not just a matchmaking service. We don’t just get people on random podcasts. We help our clients become a rockstar guest by discovering their compelling story, clear message and powerful call to action. We then create a custom bio one sheet and pitch them to only top rated hosts that we believe are the right fit for them. We also help promote each of the shows we get them on so they get even more brand exposure.
What has been your favorite moment with it?
My fave moment was when we worked with a client who was in his 60’s and never really could express his story in a clear and concise way. After an hour call with him he had tears in his eyes and said that in all these years he never knew how to tell his story. That for me is priceless.

Which marketing channels do you take advantage of?
We have created a unique Ambassador Program where we have major influencers promote our brand and in return we give them cool incentives such as a private invitation to Sir Elton John’s Oscar party
Did you experience failure along the way? What did you learn from it?
I don’t believe in failure. I call them lessons and yes I have had many lessons along the way. The biggest thing I have learnt has been to be flexible and adapt to the situation. Don’t get to attached. Don’t take things personally. It’s business. Business is an interesting beast.

Give the readers the best entrepreneurship advice you have.
Be yourself. Don’t try to be someone else or pretend to be someone you’re not. People are attracted to real, authentic people. Don’t be afraid to express yourself for who you really are. If people don’t like you that’s their issue. What people think of you has nothing to do with you.
Also don’t be afraid to take imperfect action. The more action you take the more you learn the more successful you become. Become a producer instead of a consumer.
Teach us how to become an influencer.
Get clear on what you want to share with the world. Get yourself out there. Get on podcast shows and start telling your story. Share your message with the world. That is the way you become an influencer.
What daily habits do you have that allow you to perform at your peak?
I write a list of 5 things I want to get done today on a pad of paper and I work my way through them. Once I complete a task I put a tick next to it. It keeps me focused and I can look back at the end of the day and see what I have accomplished.
What should an entrepreneur focus on?
Focus on what you are really good at/enjoy doing and outsource/delegate the rest.
