Zachery Dereniowski the person who inspires and guides a lot of students who are willing to maximize their MCAT scores, empowering pre-medical students entering medical school.
Zachery who is born in Windsor, “Automotive Capital of Canada”, is a city in Ontario, Canada, across the Detroit River from the U.S. city of Detroit. He has a dual U.S. and Canadian citizenship and is a 27-year-old medical student at the University of Sydney in Australia pursuing his Post-Graduation in Medicine Program. He did his Bachelor of Human Kinetics (in 2016 from the University of Windsor, Windsor, ON, and thereafter his Post-Baccalaureate in Pre-Medical Studies in December 2017 from Lawrence Technological University, Southfield, MI.
Zachery has an incredible approach towards life, someone who truly lives for nothing other than helping others. He believes life should not be only thinking about oneself but it is way more than that, moreover, it is how your experiences positively impacted the lives and the betterment of others.
His story to inspire others started with failure only, when he was in his first year of college during his Biochemistry Program, where he only managed to score a 0.59 GPA and was Required to Withdraw from the program. He was even told by the Dean that he might be good enough for the college. But Zachery never gave up. Instead of losing hope, he returned to college and completed his studies and this time scoring a 4.0 GPA over his last 9 consecutive semesters and scored over a 510 on the MCAT on his first attempt.
The idea of inspiring others came up when he received a message from a stranger stating how he can relate to Zachery’s academic story and which made Zachery realize that how he can also inspire students by his own story. He started by hosting Instagram live sessions from doctors around the world and talking about his struggle and how all students can overcome the adversities they face. Thereafter he began working as an MCAT tutor, exclusively connecting with students through Instagram. Which lead to a direct job proposal from a large test prep company, Examkrackers, as their first and only MCAT Mentor, which he happily accepted, in a belief that it will provide him with a greater reach and the ability to travel across the United States to speak with thousands of students at pre-medical conferences.
Zachery understands and has himself experienced that what students go through because of their academics scores. Therefore, he gives importance to mental health and his example to students of not losing hope in life. He speaks about how family or loved ones should support in such a situation and also seek professional support for the same. He wants to help people recognize that they matter, that they are not alone, and they are worthy of recovering from whatever they are going through. He has recently become a Tik Tok sensation with over 400k followers working as a mental advocate, helping provide people facing mental health issues, a voice to be heard.
His purpose in life is to empower others, inspiring and making a positive impact on the lives of others. At present, along with his studies, he is inspiring, motivating, and guiding pre-medical students entering medical school and helping people who are struggling with mental health issues and want to become a voice for those who are suffering from mental health issues and to disseminate a message of hope and support.
