Paulina Zelman has always had an affinity for music, and has played instruments such as the piano and guitar since her youth. She’s always relied on music through everything she’s gone through in her life, and it continues to bring her happiness. She’s become accustomed to playing music privately in her room, and expresses some of her most personal thoughts and emotions through her music.
Because of this, her decision to release her very first album wasn’t an easy one. She had to overcome the fears and insecurities of what other people would think of her, and it took great courage to reach that point. Once she did release the album, her courage was rewarded. Dubbed “One and Only”, the album was met with tremendous praise for its vulnerable, authentic lyrics and its amazing showcase of musical talent.
With all of the praise she’s received, Paulina has had to deal with those who put her down or disrespected her because of her music. She said that it was challenging, but she is learning to accept that some people that she cares about just don’t have the capacity to be supportive of her music. Regardless of what anyone thinks, she now has all of the confidence in the world to release more music moving forward and continue making a positive impact on anyone listening.
Now that she has the courage to release her music, the only thing she wished she knew months ago was to release her music sooner. She says that she wishes she told herself, “Believe in yourself no matter who doubts you, no matter how many times you fail and please recognize your worth.” Now that she has the confidence in herself, the sky’s the limit for Paulina in her musical career.
Paulina is eternally grateful for her family, as both of her parents as well as her grandparents are musical. They have always guided her to have music as a passion, and have been by her side every step of the way ever since she first learned the piano at just 7 years old.
Her family has also taught her the importance of kindness and empathy, and she was raised to always be nice to people and show compassion to everyone. Paulina’s loving, selfless personality shines through in her music, as the main themes in her music include love, friendship, confidence, and happiness. She’s never held anything back with her music, and Paulina is more inspired than ever before to continue making music and doing what she knows best.
