Dr. Erin Fall Haskell is no ordinary doctor. Forbes featured her as one of “The 11 Most Inspirational Female Entrepreneurs To Follow On Instagram.” She is a Doctor of Divinity, Minister, and Author. She is also the creator and TV host of GoodMorning LaLa Land, America’s first live-streaming daily talk show.
When she was 22, Dr. Erin gave birth to a stillborn child. In an interview, the doctor of divinity recounts how she held the lifeless body of her son just moments after giving birth to him. Tears ran down her face as she came to terms to the reality that her son “wasn’t his body; he is a spiritual being.” At that moment, she thought to herself that we are not our bodies. Dr. Erin found herself in the realm of spiritual revelation that set her on a lifelong quest where she discovers truths, learns how to live embodying the truths revealed to her, and passing the same onto humanity.
Asked what her key to success is, Dr. Erin says, “My spiritual connection has given me every ounce of success” and in addition to that, “collaboration, innovation, confidence, purpose, and calling.” Dr. Erin observes that the majority of the people in the world are not living and authentic life. Those who have taken it upon themselves the task of finding out the value of life have been misled. They have been led to believe that there is an absolute right way to live, right title to have, right clothes to wear, right house to live in, right relationship to have and many such things.
Dr. Erin doesn’t teach how to live. Instead, she helps people see themselves for who they are and provides them with information on how to do precisely that. Here is a sneak peek of the wealth of knowledge Dr. Erin shares with people around the world.
Stop Complaining
Dr. Erin believes that one of the single biggest enemies of a fulfilled life is complaining. To understand how much complaining affects you negatively, the doctor of divinity talks about manifesting. Once you understand how manifesting works, it will be much easier to avoid complaining and start being grateful.
The doctor of divinity says, “The moment that you complain, you are energizing that very thing you are complaining about to keep coming back into your life.” In dealing with a complaining attitude, Dr. Erin advises not to go the, “don’t think that” way. In other words, you should not focus on what not to do. Instead, it would be best if you always thought of what we should do to substitute complaining, with something positive.
Dr. Erin stresses that the possibility of fighting negative thoughts that lead to complaining is fueled by knowing how powerful you are. She adds that since we are connected to the universe, complaining is more like informing nature to keep bringing more of the source of complaints into life.
Don’t Battle Your Thoughts; Meditate
According to Dr. Erin, whenever you find yourself in a battle with your thoughts, you should try as much as possible to leave the fight. She advises one to meditate instead of battling evil, harmful, or unpleasant thoughts. Dr. Erin says, “Meditation is the cure for all suffering.” “You have to allow your higher self and the energy to come in and do the magic it is designed to do. It all comes down to peace within. You can’t find [peace] out in the world. It’s all within,” She adds.
Since the truth comes from within, we can all learn to tell ourselves positive truths about ourselves. Such thoughts will then manifest into beautiful material outcomes. It is the same with beauty and all other pleasant attributes we often have to go through battles to believe we possess. By expanding your consciousness through meditation, you can boost your mental and emotional health, which are both essential for a good quality life.
Wake Up, Reprogram, Align, and Affirm
In her book, Awakening: A 40-Day Guide to Unleashing Your Spiritual Powers, Life’s Purpose, and Manifesting Your Dreams!, Dr. Erin speaks of four amazing steps to living your best life. These are, waking up, reprogramming, aligning, and affirming. Waking up is not trying to shift or change anything, but recognizing and waking up to the fact that you are a mighty being. Your power allows you to manifest all day, every day without necessarily doing anything, whatsoever.
By waking up, you accept and begin benefitting from the reality that your consciousness (individual, collective, and cosmic) is creating every last drop of life, right this moment! There sure is a need for change sometimes in life, but Dr. Erin advises that the best way to change is to accept what is right now by waking up. That’s what you should do before you can change anything.
Secondly, the work is not to try and create your dreams, but to begin to release the limiting beliefs within your subconscious mind.
Thirdly, the work is to align and flow with life, following your bliss and letting go of anything that no longer serves you. Last but not least, you must affirm through daily spiritual practice.
