“Years ago I used to be very sick, very upset, scared, depressed and lonely”-
What’s your backstory?
Years ago I used to be very sick, very upset, scared, depressed and lonely. I visited lots of doctors and therapists for years and none of them had any impact. I was listening to a podcast that was interviewing a Veteran and he mentioned that he saw a practitioner of NLP to eradicate his PTSD. It took me another year to look into NLP. After having enough of the way my life was, I knew I had to make a change.
My marriage was falling apart, my finances were in rough shape and my health was suffering. I first saw a hypnotherapist, that meeting was enough to get me where I needed to be. I next got on a plane to learn NLP, Time Line Therapy® and Hypnosis so that I could help myself. I left my training a new person, with no fear. It took me quite some time to adjust to living on the planet without being afraid because I’ve never known what that felt like before my training. I also left my training certified to work with other people, and so I did.
I felt called to become a trainer so that I could share the techniques with other people so they can live fulfilling lives and assist others to do the same. I now live in a beautiful home, I own my own training company, my health has improved drastically, my marriage is a 10 and I want others to share and experience what I have, and they will now.
Can you tell me the story of your prior successes, challenges, and major responsibilities?
Graduating from my NLP Trainer’s Training and being accepted into the Master Trainer Program was a huge honor for me, I was thrilled because only those who are known to succeed are invited into the Master Trainers Program. My Trainers test took me 7 hours to complete, none of which was multiple choice.
Making sure I knew every single NLP technique without any notes was a challenge, but since completing the test and demonstrations I can say “I know that I know NLP confidently”. Signing my name on my students certificate is a major responsibility because students go out and assist other people and it’s my job to make sure the students are trained, certified and know their skill.
Can you tell me about a time when you almost gave up, how you felt about that, and what you did instead of giving up?
I almost gave up going to my Master Practitioner Training. My mother was unable to watch my children and I felt stuck. I took some time to generate more options. One of them was asking a student to come along, experience a breakthrough and watch my boys while I studied and graduated from my Master Practitioners program.
