From a young age, Oren Segal had always aspired to be great, to spread kindness, and to leave his mark on the world. Born and raised in New York, his parents from Israel, Oren has found himself placed into a world filled with opportunities, and he isn’t afraid to take the risks to accomplish his dreams. Playing the violin at the young age of six taught Oren discipline and showed that practice and perseverance eventually yield results. Following his passion for music eventually led Oren to showcase his own band with the world-renowned Kronos Quartet, and he continues to play the violin today.
Music continues to be a huge part of Oren’s life and eventually led him to the fashion and modeling world, naturally. Oren had always taken an interest in clothing and the modeling industry from a young age. He’s found himself often in front of the camera, modeling for friends, and has begun creating his own personal brand. Meanwhile, he maintains being a full-time student and despite the slowdown of brand growth during the pandemic, has persisted in accomplishing his dreams and goals.
Not following the hottest fashion trends is a big part of Oren’s perspective. His advice to someone starting his own personal brand is: Don’t follow the crowd. Nothing good comes from following a herd of people who also don’t know where they’re going, and I think a lot of people follow into this category whether it be fashion, behavior, or life in general. You always need to be unique and distinguishable. While I’ve seen people and some friends start going the route of buying “streetwear” clothing and wanting to rock the baggy clothing, it made it easier for me to stay on my path and keep doing my thing.
Oren’s biggest challenge was finding a way to “raise the bar” to match people’s expectations and to achieve greatness. Despite already accomplishing more than most people do in their whole life, his hunger and desire for more is the driving force behind his brand and his lifestyle. With discipline from being a young musician, to knowing how to push through pain and discomfort in the gym, Oren is equipped and ready to push the bar on his way to the top.
