This past year has been the downfall for millions of people and businesses. Fortunately, for Nick Scolaro, this young and hungry entrepreneur utilized his free time and began a startup media agency that has risen far above competition and even surprised his predecessors. Despite dropping out of college due to a lack of finances, The 20 year old photographer opened up his own media agency, “Scolaro Creative” and within the first year has serviced hundreds of clients and generated revenue at the 6-figure mark.
Although it seemed like an overnight success, things weren’t always easy for Scolaro. “At the age of 17, my parents gave me some tough love and kicked me out of the house to teach me a valuable lesson. I deserved it.” He says to the sharks.
He credits the struggles he went through for giving him the inspiration and the drive he used to make his business successful.
“The struggles I experienced were such a key piece to my success because it opened my eyes and developed a work ethic I never would’ve found otherwise.”
Nick Scolaro
In the early days of his career, Scolaro had the technical skills of shooting and editing, but he was unable to generate enough leads to make consistent revenue which is a common problem among creators trying to get a foot into the industry.
According to Scolaro, what separates him from the rest of the competition was educating himself in the digital marketing space. “While working with one of of my biggest clients, Variance Marketing, I learned how to flood my calendar with sales appointments using an automated sales process Variance calls Dealflow.” By implementing these marketing strategies, tons of new clients and deals came in on autopilot while Scolaro focused on servicing the existing clients, and building the brand.
Scolaro says his next big move is to launch an online masterclass that teaches any creator to travel anywhere in the world while working with brands. “This is a question I’ve been asked a lot so I thought I’d package it into a training, and start selling it so anyone can learn. The masterclass is scheduled to release at the end of next year.
As a young man with big dreams, Nick Scolaro is a strong believer in hard work and perseverance.
“If you’re insanely passionate about something and devote 90% of your time towards building a business around that passion, you will succeed regardless of whatever your passion is.”
Nick Scolaro
Scolaro is an inspiration for many young creators his age because of his successes so far. He tries to give back as much as possible by pushing others to do the same as him. “Ninety-nine percent of the world is convinced they’re incapable of achieving greatness so they aim for mediocrity. My goal is to decrease the number of people who think they’re unable to actually achieve their dreams. Anyone can do it. You just need to want it badly enough.”
