Can you tell me the story of your prior successes, challenges, and major responsibilities?
When I first came onto the social media scene, my goal was to build a blog and impact lives around the world.
I didn’t know what that looked like, but I knew I had important information to give! I started a company called All Core Society and began to post on my personal facebook 3 times a day. I then would research and post a new blog post to the website I had built (I learned how to develop a website during this time).
From here, I invested $5,000 into my new clothing company, and went full speed ahead on social media growth. IT TANKED. 18 people purchased my t-shirts, my blog posts were getting zero attention, and the most likes I had on a post was 33.
This made me more motivated than ever.
Over the next 8 months, I would let go of my All Core Society business and study the social media market. Making deals with specific pages on Facebook, creating my own niche oriented Facebook fan pages, posting 8 times a day, and investing in the right places… I grew my personal fan page from one thousand people to one million people. My career began.
From August 2017 to February 2018 I was faced with one of the toughest period of my life. I thought I was dying, I could barely walk, I was losing control of my bladder, I lost 40 lbs., and my life was in ruins. As I thought all of my hope was lost… My REAL challenge began. I could give up on life, or push forward and trust the process! After contemplating suicide and losing what felt like everything at the time, I recovered and had the most successful business launch I ever had in my online marketing career.
I then founded The CreateU Agency, partnered with various entrepreneurs and influencers, and developed my strongest business yet. My major responsibilities owning this Agency has been to lead by example, teach proper online marketing, processes, and strategies to these partners, protect the reputation of these influencers and build upon them, and be sure the products & services being released were of its highest quality. From challenges, frustrations, sickness, and suicidal thoughts to owning multiple businesses, mentoring others, grateful for life, and conquering every vision that stands in my way. I did it!
Can you tell me about a time when you almost gave up, how you felt about that, and what you did instead of giving up?
August 2017 to February 2018 was one of my toughest periods of my life. Within a blink of an eye, I went from an owner of a corvette, being in a long, loving relationship, having office space and living just blocks from the beach in Santa Monica, CA, and having 6 employees for my business… to 2 severe herniated discs, a shoulder that was torn in 4 areas, losing my dog, letting go of my relationship, losing $100,000, moving back to my home state in Florida, losing 40 lbs., sinus surgery,
stem-cell surgery, addiction, hurricanes, bee stings, surgery complications, cauda equina scare, brain MRI, CT scans, breathing complications, heart complications, severe brain fog, losing my team, and losing my office.
For the next 6 months after moving back to Florida from California, I would lay on the ground in pain and worry. Writing my own death wish. Counting every second of every minute, just to be sure I was still alive.
I could barely walk, I could barely lift my arm, I was emotionally traumatized, and holding on to life by a thread. There was no more relationship, no more dog, no more working out, and what I had worked so hard for… was lost. Or so I thought. It was 10:30 pm on January 28th. I was laying in my bed looking up at the fan above. I was angry. I was sad. I was exhausted. I was in pain. I had slept only 2 hours per night for the last 30 days and my heart rate was a steady 100 BPM. I was checked out and prepared to hang myself and call it quits. I wanted it all to go away. But instead of doing the unthinkable, I laid there quietly thinking to myself… “Brendan, is this really you?
Is this what your life represents? You were born to lead. Leaders never quit. Leaders never give up on the impossible. You can do this, you can move back to California. You can be healed. You can build more businesses. You can travel the world. You CAN at ALL times. The pain is temporary, the aches will go away, put your faith in the man upstairs and trust that YOU can get through this”!
I went to sleep and woke up to 5 text messages that were necessary for me to move back to California and get back to doing what I loved. I had zero expectations of anyone texting me, and I definitely didn’t expect people I haven’t talked to in over a year to offer me opportunities that morning.
Fast forward to June.
I was in California, living in my dream house, and made the most profit I have ever had with my new business “The Creative Fitness Academy”.
